Meet Brittany Johnson, a mental health therapist with a passion for helping others and a
wealth of experience working with diverse populations. Brittany has always had an
empathic and guiding nature that led her to the counseling field.

Brittany is originally from Orlando FL, where she was born and raised. She earned her
B.S. of Psychology from the University of Central Florida. After graduating from UCF
she enlisted into the U.S. Air force where she served 5 years in Aviation Resource
Management in Oklahoma City, OK. After her enlistment she enrolled at Webster
University and received her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling.

During her training, Brittany developed a deep interest in the power of empathy and how
to help assist individuals to navigate life’s challenges and build stronger connections
with others. Brittany has worked with organizations offering counseling and support to
people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and she recognizes the importance of
creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Brittany’s experience includes working with adults and adolescents in a variety of
settings, including schools, psychiatric facilities, private practice, hospitals, teens in the
foster care system; women and teens in crisis and pregnancy through outreach
programs and individuals dealing with substance use issues.

Brittany focuses on the “whole person” concept and her approach to therapy is person
centered. Brittany believes that each individual is unique and encourages wholeness by
supporting each person in making their own choices and decisions to promote a greater
sense of wellbeing, self-awareness and acceptance of everyone.
